This product met those standards wonderfully (though good instructions did come included)

For my current phone (Note 3), I don't bother with the elastic straps

I had more trouble getting the bike to cooperate than installing the product on it! Tools are included and additional plastic strips to make sure you have a tight grip show great attention to detail

In contrast with my prior holder - it relied on side and bottom holders plus an annoying across the middle of the phone strap and it STILL let my phone fly out the top when I hit a large rock
