The Bolt popped up and instead of using NiMH batteries it uses lithium ion batteries which really doesn't have a memory problem
However, you can use your old cables if needed so you really don't have to buy another cable if you already have one that works
The Bolt cables for hooking up to the flash is similar to the Canon or Nikon cable except it has a locking mechanism so the cord doesn't pop out
Recycle times is about 1 second on full power but I use auto mode on my flash so the recycle time is instant
I think I can get 4000 flashes or more on one charge
It just won't lock in the power socket so it could come out if you yank on it
