For those who have read this book and one a very thorough understanding of economic science I recommend Human Action by Ludwig Von Mises
Real economics This beautifully written little book explains simply and clearly what happens when markets are allowed to work freely and ethically, and what happens when government interferes with them
Economics is a science, and scientists do not make value judgements
Henry Hazlitt is not a sycophant for the US government
This book should be required reading for anyone who wants to discuss economic policies
The chapters that I really learned a lot from this audio book and/or was new to me include the ones on the assault on savings, the fallacies embedded in US foreign loans to stimulate our own economy and his response to those see technology as a curse against employments
