Our Review/Thoughts

The top of the scratcher has a plastic ball (about 2” in diameter) attached with a bell inside

The base has a tacky (in feeling, not aesthetic) material on the bottom which prevents the post from sliding around on the floor or carpet

5 STARS They left the box at my front door on a hot summer day and by the time I opened it, the bottom adhesive/padding was half melted

Structurally, it's made well: the wood base is held together by two wooden posts and further secured by the post itself, held onto the base by a nut-and-screw (tightened with the included hex key)

Sisal is a great material for scratching posts: it tends to hold up better and longer than other materials (like carpet) without shedding quite as much

I have a 14 month Bengal who is abnormally large, he does topple it over, though not often
