This book, and his book Starting Strength, in particular

Anything by Rip is worth reading

Also gives detailed background on everything that affects strength training such as, sleep, calories, science behind gaining muscle/strength, lifetime goals, etc

Exactly what the title states, Easy to understand and implement

It has so much more information than I could use at this stage of my journey and I find myself referencing it often

The genius of this book is that it doesn't spell out for you exactly what you must do (although some example training programs are given and discussed), rather it teaches you how to teach yourself to plan for what you want to achieve
