The range is excellent, going further than a block away, and the admin options are very good relative to consumer access points
I have turned off the FIOS wireless
This hardwired! range access point works in bringing wifi to distant parts of the house
Just make sure you install the software on a computer / server that is on-site all the time
Just installed in my home to replace a failing WAP
Ours goes through multiple walls, so doesn't reach the full 600, but it is a solid signal, and fills the entire building
